At Visiting Angels Birmingham North, we believe great care starts with looking after the people who provide it.
We're looking for kind, reliable and genuinely caring people to join our growing team of Caregivers across Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.
Whether you're an experienced carer looking for somewhere you'll be appreciated, or you're considering a career in care for the first time, we'd love to hear from you.
Why become a Visiting Angel?
We know your time matters – including the time you spend travelling between the people you support.
You'll receive:
- £14.75 per hour
- 45p per mile mileage allowance
- Paid travel time
- Paid time between care visits
- Flexible working patterns
- A friendly, supportive local office team who actually know you
- Ongoing training and development
- Support from a team that wants you to succeed
- Meaningful work where you can make a genuine difference to someone's day
What does being a Caregiver involve?
No two days in care are exactly the same.
You might be helping someone get ready for their day, preparing a meal, supporting with medication, helping around the home or simply sitting down with a cup of tea and providing some much-needed company.
Your role may include:
- Companionship and emotional support
- Personal care
- Medication support
- Meal preparation
- Light household tasks
- Supporting customers to remain independent
- Accompanying customers to appointments or activities
- Providing reassurance to customers and their families
Most importantly, you'll take the time to get to know the person you're supporting and provide care that feels personal, respectful and unhurried.
What we're looking for
We're looking for people who are:
- Kind, compassionate and dependable
- Comfortable working independently
- Good communicators
- Respectful of people's choices and independence
- Able to build genuine relationships with customers
- Reliable and committed to providing high-quality care
Previous care experience is welcomed, but your attitude and values are just as important to us.
Due to the nature of community care, a driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.
Already working in care?
If you enjoy being a carer but don't feel valued where you are, we'd still love to hear from you.
Sometimes you don't need a different career – you just need the right care company.
