Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and reliable Bricklayers' footing gangs to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for laying foundations and footings, ensuring structural stability and precision. This role requires a strong understanding of masonry techniques and the ability to work efficiently within a team on various building projects. All positions are paid, and applicants must demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set out footings according to engineering specifications and drawings
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment safely and effectively
- Mix and apply mortar or concrete for foundation work
- Lay bricks, blocks, or stones with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist with the installation of formwork, scaffolding, and reinforcement as required
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, roofers, or welders on site
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during construction activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or related construction roles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment
- Knowledge of building codes, safety procedures, and technical drawings
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment under supervision or independently when required
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in bricklaying or construction trades are advantageous but not essential

Pay: £220.00-£300.00 per day
