The role of the contract manager will oversee property rental agreements, lease negotiations, monitoring certification, maintenance works, property inspections and legal compliance between landlords, tenants, and vendors. The successful individual will manage the entire lifecycle of tenancies and service contracts, minimizing void periods, resolving disputes, and ensuring adherence to housing laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate tenancy agreements, lease renewals, rental increases and commercial or residential lets.
- Oversee vendor and contractor agreements for property maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance checks.
- Ensure full compliance with current property legislation, regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Making sure certificates are compliant (including EPC’s, E.I.C.R’s and Gas Safety Certificates).
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex landlord, tenant, and contractor disputes.
Core Requirements
- Strong knowledge of residential or commercial property legislation and tenancy laws. Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience with property management software and CRM databases.
- Relevant professional certifications (such as ARLA Propertymark) are often preferred
Hours/Days:
Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9:00am to 3pm and every other Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm
