We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Fabricator/Welder to support ongoing maintenance and repair operations.
This role involves hands-on fabrication, welding, and general maintenance duties, with a focus on maintaining, repairing and modifying transformer tanks and associated equipment.
- Carry out repairs on transformer tanks and associated ancillaries
- Perform fabrication and welding tasks to a high standard (MIG/TIG/Arc as required)
- Undertake modifications to existing equipment and structures
- Operate workshop machinery including cutting tools and lathes
- Conduct precision cutting, shaping, and finishing of metal components
- Assist with general day-to-day maintenance duties across the site
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimize downtime
- Work from technical drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
- NVQ Level2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Fabrication, Welding, or Mechanical Engineering
- Forklift, overhead crane, or other relevant plant licences
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding
- Competence in operating lathes and other workshop machineryExperience in maintenance environments
