Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy bar (Sports and social club). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining hygiene safety standards, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for members. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to management.
- (Negiotiable) 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday evenings and Friday, Saturday and Sundays with self allocated hours for line cleaning, deliveries etc. during the week days.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including bartenders.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of beverages and snacks.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Develop staff schedules, monitor performance, and provide training to optimise team efficiency.
- Organise special events or promotions to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and complies with safety regulations at all times.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with management on marketing strategies and development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervising roles within hospitality settings.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Experience with managing stock levels and ordering supplies efficiently.
