Job Summary
We are seeking flexible, diligent and reliable Cover Cleaners to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises on an adhoc basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, washrooms, corridors, and communal areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, windows, and fixtures are kept spotless and well-maintained
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet roll as needed
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards in busy environments
PLEASE BE AWARE:
- This role is ONLY for COVER (sickness, annual leave)
- There are no set/guaranteed shifts in this role
- Sickness cover could be given at very short notice (no more than a couple of hours)
- Annual leave cover, you will be given as much notice as possible (weeks to months prior to work happening)
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.45-£14.80 per hour
