The Role
We are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant/Credit Controller to join the department, working 20 hours per week (working days and hours to be discussed further at interview).
You will be required to provide support and cover to the Finance Executive with accounting tasks such as month/year end reporting, bank reconciliations, daily postings, database cleansing and maintenance.
You will be actively involved in managing the firm’s credit control which will involve compiling letters and statements, diary management, assisting clients, receiving and making telephone calls, organising and attending meetings with lawyers alongside providing monthly reports on progress.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience of credit control and an understanding of the accounting procedures is essential.
Prior experience of working in a legal accounting environment is desirable but not as must as full training will be provided.
You will need to have excellent IT skills, to include Microsoft Word and Excel, along with strong administration skills. The ability to work under pressure and manage your own workload is key. You will be liaising with a variety of individuals so excellent interpersonal and communication skills is a must.
Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
