We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-Time Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our outdoor activity centre and luxury accommodation business.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on role requiring a proactive individual who can confidently support business operations, lead front-of-house activities, manage staff scheduling, assist with marketing initiatives, and help maintain the high standards our guests expect.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring every guest receives a five-star experience from first enquiry through to departure.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Support the day-to-day management of Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a five-star guest experience at all times.
- Manage front-of-house and reception duties, including guest check-ins, enquiries, bookings, and telephone communications.
- Handle customer queries professionally and efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining the presentation and operational standards across the site.
Staff & Roster Management
- Assist with staff scheduling and roster management.
- Support management in coordinating staffing requirements during busy periods.
- Help ensure smooth daily operations across activities and accommodation.
Marketing & Social Media
- Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns.
- Create and manage engaging social media content across relevant platforms.
- Help promote events, accommodation, activities, and special offers.
- Monitor customer reviews and online engagement.
Accommodation & Tourism Operations
- Support the management of luxury accommodation bookings and guest communications.
- Ensure accommodation standards meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Assist with quality control and guest feedback management.
Administrative Duties
- Support booking systems, reporting, and general administration.
- Maintain accurate records and operational documentation.
- Assist with business development initiatives as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Strong front-of-house and reception experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience managing staff rotas or schedules.
- Experience with social media and marketing activities.
- High attention to detail.
- A flexible and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving licence and access to transport.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within the tourism, hospitality, or leisure sector.
- Experience working with accommodation providers, hotels, lodges, or guest services.
- Knowledge of booking and reservation systems.
- Experience creating digital marketing content.
