The Role
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Head Office. We believe the best ideas come from collaboration, so you'll work closely with our Managing Director, leadership team and clinic managers to support the business, improve processes and help shape the future of Hälsa.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead the day-to-day finance function while supporting the wider leadership team with commercial insight, strategic planning and operational improvements.You'll have the opportunity to influence how finance operates across our clinics, improve efficiencies, introduce new technologies and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day finance function across the business.
- Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports and board reporting.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning.
- Complete month-end and year-end processes accurately and on time.
- Oversee Sage accounting software and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage payroll processes, pensions and HMRC compliance.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and balance sheet accounts.
- Manage revenue journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
- Produce KPI reports and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to improve profitability and business performance.
- Support clinic managers with financial reporting and commercial insight.
- Continuously review and improve financial systems and processes.
- Research, trial and implement AI, automation and new technologies to improve efficiency across the finance department.
- Act as the company's super user for private medical insurance portals and billing systems.
- Manage relationships with private medical insurers, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and payments are received promptly.
- Oversee credit control, debtor management and payment reconciliations.
- Ensure supplier payments are made accurately and on time.
- Support audits and liaise with external accountants and advisors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation and best practice.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and support future business growth.
- Take ownership of finance projects and contribute to the continued development of the business.
Essential
- CIMA or ACCA qualified (or in the final stages of qualification).
- Newly qualified and ready to take the next step in your career, or an experienced Finance Manager looking for a fresh challenge.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage.
- Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of management accounting, budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commercially minded with the ability to interpret financial data and support business decision-making.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full right to work in the UK.
