Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal requirements, ensuring vehicles meet the necessary standards for roadworthiness. Duties
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models in compliance with current legislation and industry standards.
- Perform thorough inspections of vehicle components including brakes, lights, tyres, suspension, and exhaust systems.
- Identify defects or issues and provide clear reports to customers, recommending necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and tests carried out, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment for colleagues and customers.Requirements
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive inspection role.
- Mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of vehicle systems and components.
- Full UK driving licence is essential; additional qualifications such as IMI Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Inspection are highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication skills to explain inspection results clearly to customers.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,546.23 per year
