The Lynchmead herd of Pedigree Holsteins is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced member of staff to join our team.
Totalling approximately 930 cows over two units, and 750 acres of farmland, the appointee will be responsible for making sure all daily tasks are carried out to the highest of standards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
D&A Mead & Co requires a stockperson/tractor driver. Our Estate is a diversified farming business covering 750 acres. The farms core business is our Pedigree Holstein dairy farm supplying an M&S contract, as well as a beef farm which supplies our farm shop.
The candidate will assist the rest of the livestock team day to day, focusing mainly on liaising with the unit manager on feed rations, and feeding out across our dairy and beef farms. Checking stock on our beef rearing unit, liasing with the unit manager on finishing stock and making decisions on stock ready for market, and any general day to day tractor work that may arise.
