NSN Corporation is recruiting a proactive Caretaker / Site Attendant for Clarendon Court, a residential mansion block on Sidmouth Road, London NW2.
This is not a basic cleaning role. The client is looking for someone with common sense, initiative, attention to detail and a practical security mindset. You must notice issues without being told, keep the site clean and presentable, question contractor movement where appropriate, report concerns properly, and use NSN System & App CNTM to evidence your work.
You will be responsible for daily, weekly, periodic and reactive caretaker duties across communal areas, grounds, fire escapes, entrances, lifts, bin areas and external spaces.
Main duties include:
- Daily spot cleaning of internal staircases, entrances, landings and lifts.
- Daily litter removal from grounds, front gardens and driveways.
- Daily fire escape checks for obstruction, broken glass, debris, cobwebs, stored items or unsafe conditions.
- Daily gate, door, bin area, wheelie bin, drain/mesh and communal area checks.
- Removal of leaflets, advertising materials, animal droppings and loose waste where safe.
- Reporting graffiti, vandalism, anti-social behaviour, leaks, structural concerns, trip hazards or safety issues.
- Weekly vacuuming and cleaning of staircases, entrances, landings and lifts.
- Weekly cleaning of lift mirrors/panels, entrance doors, brass fittings, entrance glass, communal window ledges, handrails and tiled entrance areas.
- Weekly collection of rubbish bags from fire escapes and correct placement into central bins.
- Weekly visual inspection/reporting checks of CCTV status, light timers, communal boiler, roof access, tank room and electricity meter room security.
- Recording unauthorised works, abandoned items, furniture, bikes or breach of block rules.
- Periodic or reactive duties such as jet-washing where authorised, cobweb removal, removal of small debris, filling animal-dug holes, snow clearing, gritting, fly-tipping reporting, graffiti,reporting, missed refuse collection reporting and abandoned item follow-up.
You must also:
- Monitor contractor attendance and movement.
- Question contractors politely where identity, purpose or access area is unclear.
- Confirm contractors remain within authorised areas.
- Report unsafe contractor behaviour, damage, mess, unauthorised access or resident-impacting issues.
- Record abandoned or unclaimed items in CNTM with photo evidence, location found and storage location.
- Report defects, hazards, incidents, near misses, leaks, damage, access failures and anti-social behaviour.
- Use NSN System App CNTM for checklists, comments, photos and evidence.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable and able to commute to Clarendon Court, Sidmouth Road, London NW2.
- Practical, observant and proactive.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Confident speaking with contractors and residents professionally.
- Able to use a mobile app for checklists and photo reporting.
- Detail-focused and willing to take ownership of site standards.
- Clear in written and spoken English.
- Previous experience as a caretaker, porter, concierge, cleaner, facilities assistant, security officer or residential site attendant is preferred.
- SIA licence is desirable but not essential unless required by final site duties.
