The Opportunity
I am launching a local directory and events platform for the area called The Cardiff Loop (thecardiffloop.co.uk). I am looking for a driven tech-and-sales hybrid to help finish the site build and spearhead our local outreach.
This is a performance-based role with high earning potential: you will earn a generous 30% recurring monthly commission on every paid business listing you secure. As long as the business remains an active paying member on the platform, you receive your 30% cut every single month, allowing you to build a compounding passive income stream.
Phase 1: Finalizing the Platform (The Tech) Before we can sell, the product needs to be perfect. The site runs on WordPress, utilizing HivePress, WooCommerce, and The Events Calendar. Your first task is to get it over the finish line: Polish the homepage layout and ensure the directory search bar is flawless on mobile. Finalize the WooCommerce checkout flow for our paid directory packages. Ensure The Events Calendar integrates smoothly with the overall design. General bug fixing and speed optimization for launch.
Phase 2: Growth & Outreach (The Sales) Once the platform is polished, your role shifts entirely to revenue generation: Pitching and onboarding local Cardiff businesses to our premium directory packages. Managing those accounts to ensure they see value and maintain their subscriptions (protecting your recurring commission).
What I Bring to the Table - The fully hosted, mostly complete WordPress foundation. All branding, logos, and high-quality promotional video assets ready to be used in your sales pitches. Ongoing operational support while you focus on technical upkeep and sales.
Who You Are You - have solid WordPress experience (HivePress knowledge is a massive bonus) and can handle the final technical punch list independently. You are not afraid of B2B sales, networking, or reaching out directly to local business owners. You understand the long-term value of building a recurring commission pipeline rather than working for a one-off hourly rate.
