Job Summary
Are you looking for role where you will be challenged to be the best dental implant nurse. We have a history of over 20 years of Implant provision at the practice.
We also supply dental implants and therefore great product training is standard.
Dedication and compassion is a given for any Dental Nurse, but we aim to take this to the next level.
The successful candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic like the rest of the small team as they support dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where organisational skills and effective communication are highly valued. You will be responsible for assisting with patient treatments, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit as well as undertaking training and keeping abreast of new developments in the fast moving dental field.
Some general nursing will also be required but clinic time is zoned for efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile.
- Provide high-quality patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and addressing patient concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules efficiently.
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Support with sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment after each use.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Handle administrative tasks such as updating patient information using IT systems.
- Support the team in managing stock levels of dental supplies and ordering as necessary.
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a friendly, empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Prior experience or training in nursing or dental assisting is preferred.
- Proficiency with IT systems for record keeping and appointment management.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail.
