ABOUT THE ROLE
I am an active, independent individual with a spinal cord injury living in Featherstone (WF7). I am looking for a reliable, dedicated Personal Assistant to join my small, supportive team.
The position involves a regular 24-hour continuous shift every two weeks, from Thursday 7:00 AM to Friday 7:00 AM, with the potential to extend hours or cover additional shifts in the future.
HOURLY RATE: £17.25 / hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Personal care and morning/evening routines (privacy, dignity, and gentle care are paramount).
- Assistance with transfers and mobility using a ceiling track hoist (full training provided).
- Bladder and bowel management.
- Domestic duties, including maintaining a clean, tidy home and preparing fresh meals.
- Assisting with daily tasks, errands, and social activities.
IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Non-smoker (essential).
- Full clean UK driving licence and comfortable driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to consistently commit to a 7:00 AM start in WF7.
- Calm, respectful, detail-oriented personality with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow my established daily routine precisely.
- Prior experience with spinal cord injury / hoist care is a plus, but full 1:1 training will be provided for the right person.
