£33.75 to £40.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Client
Service user seven years old and lives with parents, older brother and grandparents.- Since birth, the service user has had a hypoxic brain injury that means they have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, dystonia and problems with managing my secretions.
- Service user requires staff to look after them and keep them safe. They need to be able to help manage their secretions with deep suction both oral pharyngeal and nasal pharyngeal.
- Service user needs to help with nebulisers and chest physiotherapy. They have a physiotherapy plan and a breathing management plan that needs to be followed.
- Service user cannot tolerate food orally due to their inability to swallow safely so they have a gastrostomy button inserted and has a blended table diet that is made fresh by my family.
- Service user non-verbal and communicates with his expressions and emotions
- Service user does not have challenging behaviour. They will cry when upset , wants the television changed or is uncomfortable.
- Family are Sikh they refer to themselves as British Asian / Indian family.
Clinical Requirements
Staff should have specialist expertise in supporting individuals with:
Working with children- Working with clients with a learning disability/ASD
- Working with clients with a mental health diagnosis
- Working with clients with a brain injury
- Working with clients with sensory needs
- Working with clients with a visual or hearing impairment
- Working with clients with dysphagia/risk of choking
- Moving and assisting with mobility aids
- Medication administration
- Oral and/or nasal suctioning
- Oropharyngeal and/or nasopharyngeal suctioning
- Deep suctioning
- Cough assist
- Chest physio
- Clinical observations – BP, pulse, temp, resps etc
- Oxygen therapy
- Oxygen saturation monitoring
- PEG – feed, flushes, meds, balloon volume, venting
- JEJ – feed, flushes, meds, balloon volume, venting
- Button – feed, flushes, meds, balloon volume, venting
- Nebuliser therapy
Shifts Available
We offer consistent and predictable shifts to support your work–life balance and financial stability.
Day shifts – 08:15am to 20:30pm
(Saturday and Sunday)
What the Role Involves
Delivering compassionate 1:1 care in the client’s home- Comforting the client when unsettled
- Supporting with community access and social activities
- Promoting independence and dignity in all tasks
- Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support
- Communicating effectively with the clinical, care, and coordination teams
Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported and in control of their daily routine.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting children with complex care needs.- Strong communication and reliability, with the ability to build trusting relationships with both clients and their guardians.
