Mechanic / MOT Tester
Location: Bridgeyate Motor Services ltd 105 Bath Rd, North Common, Bristol BS30 5NJ
Pay: £22.00 per hour (£45,000+ per year including annual performance bonus)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, plus alternate Saturdays, 8:00am – 12:00pm

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
- Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, engines, clutches, and electrical systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out vehicle inspections and identify any additional repair requirements.
- Complete all work to a high standard within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and servicing.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
- Safely handle and lift vehicle parts and components where required.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a qualified vehicle mechanic/technician.
- MOT Tester qualification is highly desirable; however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Competent in the use of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and modern repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
