We are looking to appoint a confident Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team. This is a role suitable for someone with classroom experience or for someone looking to start a career in education.
You will work closely with class teachers to enhance learning across the school and assist learning, through providing support in the classroom and delivering interventions. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for children.
As part of the role, you will need to provide support at two sessions of our popular After-School Club.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading small group and one-to-one interventions to raise attainment and support individual learning needs.
- Supporting teaching and learning across different year groups, adapting materials to meet pupil needs.
- Providing targeted support for children with additional needs (SEND, EAL, or SEMH).
- Contributing to the assessment of pupil progress and feeding back to teachers.
- Supporting the development of pupils’ confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Assisting with the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons and enrichment activities.
- Acting as a role model for pupils and supporting the school’s values and behaviour policy.

Essential:
- Ability to communicate clearly with pupils, teachers, and parents.

- Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent).
Desirable:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3)
- Experience working with children and supporting pupils with SEND
- An understanding of the national curriculum and primary pedagogy.
