Duties
- Assist skilled tradespeople with their daily tasks, including material handling and site preparation
- Perform basic construction and maintenance activities under supervision, such as digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Operate simple tools and equipment safely following established guidelines
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for all team members
- Support the delivery of materials and equipment to various site locations as needed
- Participate in site inspections and report any hazards or issues immediately
Skills
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of construction or maintenance environments is preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- Good physical stamina; able to stand, lift, bend, and carry materials throughout the shift
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately and safely
- Reliable with good time management skills
- Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to construction sites is a plus
