Duties
- Engage with clients to understand their interior design goals, preferences, and budget considerations
- Create compelling design concepts using SketchUp and CAD software to visualize ideas clearly and effectively
- Present design proposals confidently, highlighting features and benefits to encourage client buy-in through upselling techniques
- Assist clients in selecting furnishings, materials, and accessories by applying merchandising principles to enhance aesthetic appeal and functionality
- Coordinate project timelines, organize resources, and manage multiple client projects efficiently
- Communicate clearly with vendors, contractors, and team members to ensure seamless project execution
- Maintain organized records of designs, client interactions, and project progress for future reference
Experience
- Proven proficiency in SketchUp and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating detailed interior layouts and visualizations
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable; fluency in English is required, with additional languages such as Spanish considered a strong asset
- Strong communication skills to articulate ideas effectively and build rapport with diverse clients
- Basic math skills for measurements, budgeting, and calculations related to space planning
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and experience in upselling products or services within an interior design context is preferred
- Prior experience in interior design consulting or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
Pay: £48,000.00 per year
