At GB Railfreight, we’re one of the fastest-growing and most respected names in Rail Logistics — moving everything from construction materials to intermodal containers - keeping the nation running. We’re now looking for skilled and motivated Train Managers to join our award-winning team.
Our Train Drivers earn a salary of £73,583 for a 34.5 hour week over 4 days, leaving plenty of opportunity for overtime.
What you’ll do
- Operate freight services safely, efficiently, and on time across the UK network.
- Conduct train preparation, route checks, and signalling compliance.
- Represent GBRf’s values of safety, teamwork, and customer excellence every day.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Train Driver with valid Train Drivers Licence
- Freight Train Driving Experience is essential to apply for this role, with in date Traction competence and Route knowledge.
- Clean safety record and commitment to operational excellence
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Customer-focused with excellent problem solving skills.
- Train managers must reside within 45 minutes of their place of work.
A flexible attitude to working hours is required due to this being a shift-based role working a nominal 34.5 hour week. The shifts vary and need to cover work 24/7, particularly on nights, which is traditionally the domain of freight!
