Overview
Sutterton Surgery are seeking a dedicated and organised Care Navigator to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating patient care, providing administrative support, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering compassionate care. Prior office experience and proficiency with computer applications are highly desirable. The hours are on a rota bases 5 hours per day Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am and 6.30 pm
Duties
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, offering guidance and support throughout their care journey
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups using electronic health record systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records through data entry and administrative tasks
- Utilise Microsoft Office,
- Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries efficiently
- Organise and prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and optimise patient care processes
- Assist with general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence
Qualifications
- Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, particularly within healthcare settings
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated typing speed and accuracy for efficient data entry
- Good telephone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Experience with data entry, clerical work, and maintaining accurate records is advantageous
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Organised, detail-oriented, with a compassionate approach to patient care
