We're looking for an experienced Golf Course Machinery Mechanic to maintain and service the fleet of greenkeeping equipment across two beautiful golf courses. From ride-on mowers and utility vehicles to golf buggies and irrigation equipment, you'll play a vital role in keeping our courses in championship condition.
Working across South Winchester Golf Club and Wickham Park Golf Club, this varied role offers 32 hours per week over four days, giving you an excellent work-life balance while working as part of a friendly and supportive team.
What you'll be doing
- Service, maintain and repair our fleet of golf course machinery and golf buggies.
- Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs.
- Plan and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
- Complete winter overhaul programmes.
- Maintain accurate service records and manage parts ordering.
- Carry out welding and grinding repairs where required.
- Assist with irrigation maintenance and occasional golf course projects.
- Help ensure all equipment is safe, compliant and ready for daily use.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working on petrol and diesel-powered machinery.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Experience with groundcare, agricultural, construction or plant machinery would be highly desirable.
