Job Overview: Responsible for overseeing and managing supported living service for individuals with mental health conditions, disabilities, neurodiversity or those requiring assistance to live independently. This role involves ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulatory standards, and the effective management of staff and resources. For the purpose of application, the service is a predominant female unit.

Key Responsibilities:
-Service Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of supported living services.
- Ensure that services are delivered in line with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans that address all identified risks from risk assessments and are tailored to meet individual needs.
- Complete comprehensive risk assessments and ensure they are promptly reviewed and updated whenever new risks are identified.
- Maintain high standards of care and support, promoting independence and quality of life for service user.
- Provide different social activities and engagement to support and promote service user's independence.
-Staff Management:
- Support the HR to recruit, train, supervise, and support staff members.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
- Address any staff issues or grievances in a timely and effective manner.
-Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
- Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits from regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory authorities.
-Financial Management:
- Manage budgets and financial resources effectively.
- Monitor and control expenditure, ensuring services operate within budget.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts as required.
-Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and improve service delivery.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collect and respond to feedback from service users and their families.
-Health and Safety:
- Ensure a safe working environment for staff and service users.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
-Liaison and Communication:
- Act as the main point of contact for service users, families, and external agencies.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and community organizations.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the care and support of service users.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Relevant professional qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, RMA).
- Appreciable and proven experience in a managerial role within supported living or similar settings.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in supported living.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and financial resources effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
- Degree in social work, healthcare management, or a related field.
- Experience in working with individuals with complex needs.
- Experience in external inspections from QA team from either the councils or CQC and any other regulatory body.
- Knowledge of local community resources and networks.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require occasional evening and weekend work in cases of emergencies and safeguarding concerns.
- On-call duties may be required as part of the role.
