We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with a focus on TIG welding and sheet metal work. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality metal components and assemblies. Duties
- Perform MIG welding, with an emphasis on TIG welding techniques, to produce precise and durable welds on various metal components.
- Fabricate parts using sheet metal, ensuring accuracy according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication processes.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication tasks.
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using mathematical principles to ensure correct dimensions.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly within or similar environments.
- Demonstrable knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG welding for various applications.
- Experience working with sheet metal, mechanical assembly, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures related to metalworking.
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or workshop setting is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn.
