About the Role
I am seeking a talented Video Editor to take over the editing process for my YouTube channel, HazzaPoint. Your objective is to study my most popular content and replicate—or improve upon—my established editing style.My content relies on sharp pacing, visual storytelling, and rich asset integration. I will provide raw talking-head footage, audio, and relevant stock assets. You will have the creative freedom to source additional YouTube clips and autonomously enhance the main footage with visuals, sound effects, and animations to create a highly engaging, polished final product.
Duties
- Style Replication: Study the channel's top videos to match and elevate the established editing style, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Footage Enhancement: Enhance raw talking-head footage autonomously with complementary visuals, text/image animations, and creative effects.
- Asset Sourcing: Integrate provided stock assets and independently source/splice relevant clips from YouTube to support the script's concepts.
- Audio & Pacing: Apply appropriate sound effects and background music to maintain high-energy pacing.
- Workflow Efficiency: Maintain an efficient editing process, utilizing repeating media assets (sound files, graphics, templates) where appropriate.
- Delivery & Revisions: Manage deadlines to deliver polished cuts (ideally under 20 minutes) and maintain open communication to implement feedback smoothly.
- Trend Integration: Implement modern video editing and multimedia trends where relevant to continuously improve content quality.
Requirements
- YouTube Experience: Proven track record of editing engaging, fast-paced content optimized for YouTube audiences.
- Conceptual Understanding: Ability to understand a script or topic and independently determine what visuals best support what is being spoken about.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro) and essential motion graphics/animation skills for text and images.
- Creative Flair & Accuracy: Strong eye for visual composition, storytelling, attention to detail, and colour accuracy.
- Collaborative Autonomy: Ability to work independently with creative freedom while remaining highly receptive to constructive feedback during revisions.
- Deadline Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively and deliver projects on schedule.
Payment & Workflow
- Rate: £250 per completed video.
- Structure: Payment will initially be handled on a video-by-video basis. Once a reliable partnership is established and I am content with the workflow and quality of work, I am prepared to transition to batch payments of 4 videos (£1,000 per batch) moving forward.
Pay: £1,000.00 per week
