Job Title: Event Steward
Reports to: Senior Steward / Supervisor / Event Safety Officer
Location: Various venues (football stadiums, rugby grounds, music festivals, and other event sites across UK)
Job Type: Part-time / Casual / Event-based
Job Purpose:
To ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment of all spectators and participants at events by providing excellent customer service, crowd management, and support in line with event safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Support
- Provide a friendly, professional, and helpful presence for all event attendees.
- Assist visitors with directions, seating, and general enquiries.
- Offer support to individuals who may need assistance, including disabled guests or those with special requirements.
2. Crowd Management & Safety
- Monitor spectator areas to maintain orderly behavior and prevent overcrowding.
- Control access points, checking tickets and accreditation as required.
- Assist in the safe movement of crowds, especially during ingress, egress, and emergencies.
- Report any suspicious activity, hazards, or breaches of security immediately.
3. Emergency Procedures
- Remain calm and act quickly in the event of an emergency (e.g. evacuation, medical incident, fire).
- Follow directions from Supervisors and Emergency Services.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency exits and safety protocols.
4. Compliance & Conduct
- Adhere to the venue’s code of conduct, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Wear appropriate uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Attend mandatory briefings and training sessions.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
- Previous stewarding, security, or customer service experience (desirable but not essential).
- Level 2 Award in Spectator Safety (or willingness to work towards it).

Pay: £12.80 per hour
