We’re looking for a Lettings Officer to join us in the East of England, based at Wimpole Home Farm. Working as part of a wider lettings and estates team, you will use your expertise and consultancy skills to support the letting and ongoing management of our properties.
You’ll need a solid understanding of the residential lettings market, confidence navigating relevant legislation, and the ability to produce clear specifications for refurbishment work.
Strong organisational skills, a consultative approach and the ability to communicate well with a wide range of people will help you make a real impact.
In return, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a unique property portfolio and contribute to the care of National Trust cottages as valued homes within the let estate.

Reporting into the Let Estate Management team via the regional Residential Property Manager, you’ll work in an environment focused on high standards and practical support.
Your contractual location will be Wimpole Home Farm in the East of England. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home or other Trust hubs depending on business needs.
This is a part-time role at 0.5 FTE, equivalent to 18.75 hours per week based on a standard 37.5-hour working week. The preferred working pattern will be discussed in more detail at interview. You will be required to work at your contractual location or another suitable National Trust location for 40–60% of your working week.
What you'll be doing:You’ll support the day-to-day letting and management of our residential properties across the East of England, making sure they are compliant, well maintained and welcoming places for people to call home.
Working closely with the lettings and estate management team, you’ll provide clear advice, share insight, and support good decision making through effective data handling and analysis.
A key part of your role will be maintaining effective tenant relationships, as well as spotting opportunities to improve our properties and maximise income in a way that reflects our conservation values.
You’ll balance practical problem solving with thoughtful communication, often acting as the first point of contact for both routine queries and more complex challenges.
