We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded law firm for an experienced Personal Injury / Medical Negligence Solicitor to join its growing team in Scunthorpe.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive firm. You will manage a varied caseload of both Personal Injury and Medical Negligence matters while receiving ongoing support from an experienced Head of Department and dedicated secretarial assistance.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a mixed caseload of claimant Personal Injury and Medical Negligence files from instruction through to conclusion, while delivering exceptional client care and contributing to the continued success of the department.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied caseload of Personal Injury and Medical Negligence claims.
* Provide high standards of client care throughout each matter.
* Undertake fee-earning work and contribute to the profitability of the department.
* Ensure efficient file management and timely communication with clients.
* Assist with financial management, including billing and collection of monies on account.
* Supervise and work alongside dedicated secretarial support where appropriate.
* Provide cover for colleagues' fee-earning work when required.
* Participate in business development and marketing initiatives.
* Represent the firm within local business and professional networking forums.
About You
* Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE.
* Experience handling both Personal Injury and Medical Negligence matters.
* Strong technical knowledge and case management skills.
* Excellent communication and client care abilities.
* Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.
* Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
