Luminare Services is recruiting two cleaning operatives for a nursery site in Manchester, starting Monday 7th September. This is a contract cleaning role working within a childcare environment, so reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine understanding of hygiene standards around children are essential.
You'll be working as part of a two-person team, covering the site each evening once the nursery has closed for the day.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 6pm - 7:30pm Friday 6pm - 8:30pm
What You'll Be Doing
- Cleaning kitchenettes, bathrooms, and children's toilets/basins
- Full clean of reception, playrooms, sleeping rooms, and the parent room
- Laundry duties as required
- Cleaning high-traffic areas throughout the site
- Glass and mirror cleaning (a key focus area for this site)
- Spot cleaning of carpets and upholstery
- Securing the site and setting the alarm correctly at the end of each visit
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual — this role runs on a fixed schedule with no flexibility around start times
- Comfortable working as part of a two-person team
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential — full training given
- Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check, as this role is based at a childcare site
- Genuine care and discretion when working in an environment used by children
