Frontline Processor Creeling & Rewind
Purpose:
The Frontline Processor plays a key role in the production of high-quality carpet tiles by operating machinery, monitoring processes, completing operator asset care tasks and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards. This position supports efficient production processes across the creeling, shuffling, beveling, and slitting lines to ensure production of quality products and and support improvements to their processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established environmental, health & safety procedures including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), reporting hazards, looking out for self and colleagues and actively contributing to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Operate and monitor machinery according to standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
- Learn and apply work standards across creeling, rewind, shuffling, beveling, and slitting as required and as trained. Perform routine checks to maintain product quality and report any deviations.
- Assist with machine cleaning, minor adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping principles.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through suggestions and active participation.
- Work flexibly across production areas, departments, and buildings as required, completing cross-training and developing skills in line with training and competence requirements to meet operational needs.
- Undertake other reasonable duties to support manufacturing operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Manual handling of materials within safe weight limits.
- Comfortable working in a factory environment with noise and machinery.
This is over a 3 shift pattern Dayshift - Nightshift - Backshift
Pay: £13.02-£13.53 per hour
