Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery SEN Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is essential in providing a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in childcare settings, ensuring that children are well cared for while promoting their development and social interaction. We are accepting qualified and unqualified candidates.
Duties
- To follow the daily running of the room
- Maintaining the smooth running of the classroom
- Working effectively with other staff to create a safe and stimulating learning experience for the children
- Working with a small number of SEN children to ensure their progression and development
- Ensuring the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the classroom, kitchen and equipment
- Offering all children equal opportunities
- Communicate with staff regarding any concerns or observations about the children's behaviour or needs.
- Support the overall nursery environment by participating in activities as required.
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to interact with children with patience and understanding.
- Previous experience working with children is an advantage but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Team player who is flexible and shows positive communication with other team members.
