Two Experienced Baristas Wanted at Sonder! ☕
If you've been to Sonder, you'll probably know that up until now it's just been the two of us: I’m Izzy, and together with my sister Maddie, we've built Sonder from the ground up.
Sonder is only five months old, but the support we've received has been incredible. We've grown so quickly that we can't keep up, and the only way we can continue growing is by expanding the Sonder family.
We're looking for two experienced baristas to join us:
☕ Sunday: 9:30am–2:30pm
☕ Monday & Tuesday: 8:00am–4:30pm
We're hiring one Senior Barista and one Experienced Barista.
Previous barista experience is essential.
Sonder has always been about more than coffee. We've created a safe, welcoming space where people feel seen, remembered and genuinely cared for. We know many of our regulars by name (and usually by coffee order too!), and we're incredibly proud that so many of our 5-star reviews mention our warmth alongside the quality of our drinks and cakes.
We're currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays because, until now, it's only been us. We'd love to open those days while finally giving ourselves a little more time with our families.
Alongside the café, we host our famous sold-out Drag & Cocktail Night on the last Saturday of every month, are launching a monthly Drag Quiz. We regularly host workshops and private events, and rent other rooms in our building to other amazing independent, female-led businesses.
This is a busy role. Most shifts are run by just us two, so we're looking for experienced hospitality professionals who are confident, proactive and don't wait to be told what needs doing. You'll need to make consistently excellent coffee, deliver genuine hospitality, and work as part of a close-knit team.
