A leading UK contractor is seeking an exceptional Project Director to spearhead the delivery of major hyperscale data centre projects within its expanding mission‑critical business. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for project strategy, commercial performance, technical excellence and client relationships across complex, high‑value schemes in London.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of end‑to‑end delivery on large‑scale data centre programmes, shaping delivery strategy, driving performance and ensuring seamless coordination across construction, MEP, commissioning and commercial functions. This role requires a leader who can operate confidently at executive level while maintaining a strong presence on live projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of major mission‑critical data centre schemes
- Set project strategy, governance structures and delivery frameworks
- Oversee programme, commercial performance, risk and quality assurance
- Provide senior leadership to project teams, supply chain partners and consultants
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and technical authorities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety and commissioning requirements
- Drive excellence in MEP integration, digital delivery and commissioning (L1–L5)
- Represent the business at senior level, contributing to growth and pipeline development
