About the Role
We are looking for experienced Subcontract Solar Electricians to support the installation of domestic and commercial Solar PV and battery storage systems across the UK.
This is an ongoing subcontract opportunity with consistent work available for reliable, high-quality installers.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission Solar PV systems.
- Install and commission battery storage systems.
- Complete all electrical connections, testing and commissioning.
- Carry out fault finding and remedial works where required.
- Complete installation paperwork and commissioning documents accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with BS7671, MCS standards and current regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.
- ECS or JIB Gold Card.
- Recognised Solar PV qualification (Level 3 Award or equivalent).
- Recognised Battery Storage qualification.
- Proven experience installing Solar PV and battery systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Own tools and transport.
- Public Liability Insurance.
- UTR Number.
Desirable
- MCS installation experience.
- Experience with SolarEdge, Tesla, GivEnergy, Fox ESS, Sigenergy or similar systems.
- IPAF and PASMA certifications.
- Experience working on domestic retrofit and new-build projects.
