Gold Fins Swimming School is looking for enthusiastic and reliable qualified Swimming Teachers to join our team in Croydon.

Our lessons run:
Monday to Friday
4:00pm–6:00/7:00pm
Saturday 1.30pm to 4.30pm
You do not need to be available Monday–Saturday.
You can choose one or more regular weekdays that suit your availability. Once agreed, your chosen day(s) will become your regular weekly teaching schedule.
This is ideal for swimming teachers looking for additional regular hours alongside another swim school, leisure centre, studies or other employment.
About the Role
You’ll deliver safe, engaging and progressive swimming lessons to children of different ages and abilities.
Gold Fins specialises in small-group swimming lessons, typically with a maximum of 6 swimmers per teacher, allowing our teachers to provide individual attention and focus on each swimmer’s confidence, technique and progression.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, structured and enjoyable swimming lessons
- Teach children and adults from beginner level upwards
- Adapt lessons to individual swimmers’ abilities
- Develop water confidence and strong swimming technique
- Assess and monitor swimmer progression
- Maintain high standards of poolside safety
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Communicate professionally with parents and the Gold Fins team
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming, Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Current NRASTC (National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches) or equivalent recognised pool-rescue/lifeguarding qualification
- Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
- Confident teaching children of different ages and abilities
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly, patient and encouraging
- Professional and enthusiastic
