Could you be the next member of our team?
At Field's Car Centre, we don't just repair and service vehicles—we build long-term relationships with our customers.
For over 45 years, local motorists have trusted us to look after both their vehicles and their families. That trust has been built on honest advice, quality workmanship, and treating every customer with the care and respect they deserve.
We're now looking for a Service Advisor to join our friendly, professional team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and wants to become an important part of a successful, family-run business.
About Field's Car Centre
Richard and Michael Field established Field's Car Centre in 1981.
From a small family business, we have grown into one of Woking's best-known independent garages and have been recognised through several industry awards along the way.
Our reputation has never been built on being the cheapest.
Instead, we have built our business by doing what we say, when we say it, while delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship.
In 2025, we moved into our newly refurbished premises on Poole Road, investing heavily in modern workshop equipment, diagnostic technology and the future of our business.
Today, our workshop carries out:
- Servicing
- Mechanical repairs
- Diagnostics
- Electrical repairs
- Air conditioning
- Hybrid and EV servicing
- MOT preparation and repairs
Most importantly, we continue to invest in our staff because we believe great people are the key to a great business.
The Opportunity
As a Service Advisor, you'll become one of the most important people within the business.
You are the link between our customers and our workshop.
Every customer who contacts Field's Car Centre should receive a friendly, professional and honest experience from their initial enquiry through to collecting their vehicle.
You'll work closely with Chris Maple (General Manager) and Gary Churcher (Workshop Manager), helping to coordinate workshop activity while ensuring customers remain informed throughout the repair process.
No two days are the same.
One moment you'll be booking vehicles into the workshop, the next you'll be discussing repair options with a customer, preparing an estimate, ordering parts or coordinating technicians to ensure work progresses efficiently.
If you enjoy variety, problem-solving and working with people, you'll love this role.
A Typical Day
Your day may include:
- Welcoming customers into reception.
- Booking vehicles into the workshop.

- Updating customers throughout the day.
- Managing workshop workflow.
- Preparing invoices.
- Taking payments.
- Arranging loan vehicles.
- Preparing the following day's workshop schedule.
No two days are ever the same, which makes the role both rewarding and challenging.

You will be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional customer service at every opportunity.
- Booking customer vehicles into the workshop.
- Managing the workshop diary using TechMan.
- Preparing accurate estimates.
- Obtaining customer authorisation before work begins.

- Completing invoices.
- Processing payments.
- Managing loan vehicle administration.
- Assisting with warranty claims.
- Processing returned parts.
- Preparing future workshop schedules.
- Identifying future maintenance opportunities.
- Supporting the continued growth of the business.
