Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working person to join our team in a varied role involving machinery operation, general maintenance, and day-to-day site duties in a plant nursery.
The role would suit someone who is practical, hands-on, and willing to get stuck in. You should have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to use good judgement when carrying out tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operating machinery safely and efficiently
- Making local deliveries in the company van (where required)
- Carrying out general maintenance and handyman tasks
- Assisting with day-to-day site operations such as filling pots with compost, moving stock around site safely, etc.
- Working independently when required
- Working well as part of a team
- Following health and safety procedures
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience operating machinery
- A forklift licence would be an advantage, but training can be provided
- Van driving experience would be an advantage, but training can be provided
- A positive and willing attitude
- A practical, common-sense approach to problem-solving
- A good work ethic and reliable timekeeping
- Confidence working alone or in a team environment
- A respectful and professional manner
Pay: £13.00 per hour
