Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver prescription medications and healthcare products to customers’ homes and designated locations
- Verify delivery addresses, medication orders, and customer identities to ensure accuracy and security
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing friendly service and answering basic questions about their prescriptions when appropriate
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records throughout your shift
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting of medication boxes and supplies from warehouse or storage areas
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role, preferably within pharmacy or healthcare settings
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including handling medication supplies and equipment from warehouses or storage areas
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding inventory handling and logistics processes
- Knowledge of local roads, navigation tools, and traffic regulations for efficient route planning
- Dependable, punctual, with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service
