Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and structural components on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry and joinery to contribute to diverse building projects, ensuring high standards of safety and quality throughout. The position involves working on a variety of construction sites, including roofing, 1st fix, 2nd fix and finals.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber structures using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery techniques
- Install wooden frameworks, flooring, roofing structures, and other structural elements in accordance with project specifications
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to transport materials around the site
- Use carpentry and joinery skills to create customised fittings and fixtures
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently during fabrication and installation processes
- Conduct basic site measurements and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery within a construction environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately
- Good understanding of health & safety practices relevant to construction sites
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are advantageous but not essential for experienced candidates
- Physical fitness to work on-site for extended periods in various weather conditions
