About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Grounds and Maintenance Operative to join our team at Clea Hall Holiday Park. This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and smooth operation of our holiday park to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of grounds maintenance and general repair tasks, ensuring our park remains a welcoming and attractive environment for our owners, guests, and visitors.
This is a live-in position. Accommodation is provided at a cost, in the form of a two-bedroom lodge with a small garden, situated within our beautiful countryside location.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining high standards across the park through regular grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, planting, weeding, and general gardening.
- Ensuring all outdoor areas are clean, safe, and well-presented throughout the year.
- Supporting seasonal grounds maintenance projects as required.
- Carrying out routine and preventative maintenance across the site.
- Completing basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks where appropriate.
- Responding promptly to maintenance issues reported by colleagues, guests, and holiday homeowners.
- Keeping maintenance equipment, machinery, and tools clean, safe, and in good working order.
- Assisting with the delivery and installation of bottled gas and other operational activities.
- Maintaining accurate records of completed and outstanding work through maintenance logs and job sheets.
- Reporting any faults, damage, breakdowns, or health and safety concerns without delay.
- Working safely at all times and complying with company policies and procedures.
- Identifying, resolving, or reporting hazards and risks as soon as they arise. Promoting a positive health and safety culture across the park.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent standards and customer service.
- Undertaking additional duties when required to support the successful operation of the business.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping, or general maintenance.
- Be practical, proactive, and able to work independently using their own initiative.
- Take pride in maintaining high standards and keeping environments looking their best.
- Have good problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Be reliable, flexible, and willing to support the wider team when required.
- Possess strong communication and customer service skills.
- Have an understanding of basic health and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to undertake physical outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and work weekends and public holidays as required.
