We currently have several exciting opportunities for skilled and enthusiastic craftsmen to join the production team in our busy, Derby-based factory, including a PDI Technician.
About the Role
With market-leading campervans and high standards, we require an experienced Pre-Departure Inspection technician to join our highly skilled team. Based in our factory workshop the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all of our campervans are finished to an acceptable standard, with responsibilities including:
- Pre-Delivery Inspection of new and used campervans.
- Gas Safety Checks.
- Annual Habitation Services.
- Fitting of accessories such as awnings, bike racks, solar panels, tv aerials etc.
- Warranty Diagnosis and Repairs.
- General Fault Finding and repairs to 12v, mains 230v electrics, plumbing, heating, gas appliances etc.
- Preparation of pre-owned, company and customer owned leisure vehicles in accordance with company policy, approved workshop guidelines and health & safety requirements / law set out by the health and safety executive.
- Ensuring campervans are valeted to a good standard.
- Ensuring all Campervans are built in line with our Quality Procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
Full training on our build process and the standards that we hold ourselves to will be provided; however, the ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with gas.
- Engineering, plumbing, and electrical experience would be advantageous.
- Experience in the motor trade and/or leisure industry would be advantageous.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- The ability to work to deadlines and stay organised.
Pay & Benefits
- Starting pay £29,120.00 per annum (pro rata, per annum)
- 40-hour basic week with early Friday finish
- Overtime paid
- Permanent role
- 3% employer pension contribution
