We are looking for a reliable, caring and motivated Part-Time Laundry Assistant to join our Westwood Lodge team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and wants to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older people.
About the Role
You will be responsible for supporting the home's laundry service, ensuring residents' clothing, bedding and linen are cleaned, dried, ironed and returned promptly and accurately.
The role will involve:
- Washing, drying and ironing residents' clothing and linen
- Sorting and labelling laundry items
- Ensuring residents' clothing is returned to the correct individual
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the laundry area
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Monitoring laundry supplies and reporting shortages
- Assisting with housekeeping duties when required
- Ensuring safe use of laundry equipment
- Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns promptly
- Supporting the wider team to ensure excellent resident care
Your work will help ensure residents feel comfortable, respected and well cared for every day.

Previous laundry, housekeeping, domestic or care home experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
