We're looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our busy and supportive GP practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience while helping our surgery run smoothly and efficiently.

About us
We are a GP practice caring for over 6,000 patients, supported by 7 GPs, our nursing team, phlebotomists and a range of visiting healthcare professionals. We are proud of the supportive environment we've created for both our patients and our staff.
About the role
As a receptionist, you'll be responsible for:
- Welcoming patients and providing a professional, friendly first point of contact.
- Answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
- Booking and managing appointments.
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage a busy workload.
- Remains calm and professional under pressure.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Has good IT skills and a willingness to learn.
Previous experience in a GP surgery or healthcare setting would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Hours
This is a part-time position working 14.5 hours per week.
Flexibility is essential, as you'll also be expected to provide cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave and sickness. Additional hours are often available. The surgery is open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:45pm, with shifts worked across morning and afternoon sessions.
