We make health happen
At Bupa, our purpose is simple: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. As a leading global health and care company, we reinvest our profits into improving healthcare because, unlike many organisations, we have no shareholders. This means our customers are at the heart of every decision we make.
As a Portfolio Analyst, you'll play an important role in helping Bupa Global deliver the changes that support our customers, colleagues and business goals. Working within our Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you'll help make sure our portfolio of projects is well governed, balanced and aligned to strategic priorities.
This is an opportunity to work across an international business, partnering with teams and stakeholders from different regions and functions. You'll provide valuable insight, reporting and analysis that helps leaders make informed decisions and keeps change programmes moving in the right direction. If you enjoy turning data into meaningful information, improving processes and building strong working relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
As a Portfolio Analyst, you'll:
Support the day-to-day management of the Bupa Global change portfolio.
Act as a key contact for portfolio-related questions and guidance.
Produce monthly portfolio reports and management information for senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
Maintain portfolio records and data, making sure information is accurate, up to date and reliable.
Review governance submissions and provide constructive feedback to help maintain quality standards.
Coordinate governance meetings and prepare information packs for decision-making forums.
Support portfolio assurance activities and identify areas for improvement.
Help develop and embed portfolio management tools, processes and ways of working.
Monitor portfolio performance and support reporting on project investment and expenditure.
Work closely with project, programme and PMO colleagues to share best practice and improve consistency.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across a complex global environment.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can combine strong analytical skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
You'll ideally have:
Experience working in a Portfolio Management Office (PMO), project management or change environment.
Strong reporting, analysis and data management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
Experience using or supporting project portfolio management (PPM) tools.
A good understanding of portfolio, programme or project governance.
Experience producing high-quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence influencing and working with stakeholders at different levels.
PRINCE2, P3O or similar project management qualifications (preferred).
Experience within health insurance, financial services or another regulated industry would be beneficial, although we're equally interested in transferable skills and experience from other sectors.
