Newmay Electrical Services Ltd is an established NICEIC-approved contractor working throughout London and delivering electrical compliance, testing, maintenance and installation services for local authorities, housing associations and commercial clients.Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Administrator to join our team and support the successful delivery of our electrical testing and compliance programmes.
The role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating electrical inspection and testing works, maintaining accurate recordsThis is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated individual with strong administrative skills and experience working within the electrical, construction or social housing sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Processing purchase orders, invoices and payment applications.
- Scheduling appointments for electrical inspection and testing works.
- Managing engineers' diaries and allocating jobs efficiently.
- Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and submitted within agreed timescales.
- Liaising with residents, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Producing reports relating to performance, compliance and productivity.
- Maintaining accurate records within internal systems and databases.
- Supporting contract managers and supervisors with the day-to-day administration of electrical contracts.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and current regulations.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails in a professional manner.
- Preparing quotations and estimates for clients.
Essential requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- A professional and positive approach to work.
Desirable experience
- Experience working within the electrical industry.
- Experience working within the social housing sector.
- Experience using job management and compliance software.
