An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Zero Hours HGV Driver to join the team at Greenhous DAF Coven.
This is a flexible opportunity for an experienced and professional HGV Driver to support our busy dealership as and when required. You will play an important role in the safe and efficient movement of commercial vehicles, ensuring excellent service is delivered to our customers and supporting the wider business.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Salary: Dependent on experience, will be discussed at interview stage.
Hours: Due to the nature of this role, no hours are guaranteed by either party. You will be paid only for actual hours worked. Hours of work may vary from day to day, depending upon operational requirements, so applicants will have a flexible attitude to work the ad-hoc hours required.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely collect and deliver HGVs and commercial vehicles as required.
Carry out vehicle movements between Greenhous sites, customers and other locations.
Complete all relevant vehicle checks and documentation accurately.
Ensure vehicles are driven and handled in line with road safety and company procedures.
Represent Greenhous professionally when dealing with customers and external contacts.
Report any vehicle defects, damage or issues promptly.
Maintain a high standard of care and attention when handling customer and company vehicles.
Support the team with additional driving duties as required.
Ideally, we are looking for:
A valid HGV Class 1 and/or Class 2 licence.
A valid Driver CPC qualification.
A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
Previous HGV driving experience.
A strong understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations.
A professional and reliable approach.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work flexibly and respond to business requirements.
A high level of attention to safety and vehicle care.
