We are recruiting for a surveyor to work on utility (powerline) contracts.
£35,000 - £42,000 salaried per year
Performance bonuses available
Overtime (optional) is paid at an additional rate
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of completing issued work in accordance with Health and Safety requirements and current legislation.
This is a high risk industry for the cutting teams, and safety and compliance are always put before productivity.
Those with experience in tree surgery but not surveying or vise versa are also considered as we can provide training if needed.
Candidate will be required to survey designated locations to assess whether tree cutting is required, the volume of work and urgency. Candidate will make contact with the landowner and obtain permissions for the work, schedule in for a cutting team and put the team to work via work packs and in person meetings if required.
Methods of this can be partly flexible to suit the candidates preference on how they work with the cutting team
A mind for problem solving and a positive attitude is required. You will be working with the full support of the company director and a small, tight knit cutting team who are well respected across our contracts. Problems are normally addressed as a team rather than as individuals to relieve pressure on individual employees. All vehicles / equipment are maintained to a high standard.
Most work is within 20 minutes to 1 hour of the office. This is a hybrid role with the option to also be part of the cutting team, although this is not required
