THE ROLE
We are looking for a reliable, hard working individual to join our busy culinary team.
You will be the backbone of our kitchen, ensuring everything runs smoothly before, during and after the height or service - maintaining impeccable hygiene standards, and assisting our chefs with daily tasks.
A keen interest in catering would be a distinct advantage, as we continue to develop and grow our kitchen and bakery team dynamic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Dishwashing - operating a commercial dishwasher and managing the pot washing area of the kitchen space - keeping crockery, cutlery and cookware spotless and readily available.
Hygiene & Cleaning - Sweeping and mopping floors, sanitising work surfaces, and safely disposing of waste and recycling.
Supporting the Kitchen team - Assisting the chefs with food preparation, and any other reasonable requests under supervision.
Stock & Storage Management - Helping receive deliveries and storing them in their rightful place. Organising store areas as instructed, with a keen eye on stock rotation(s), due diligence and SFBB guidelines.
Kitchen Safety - Adhering to Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations at all times.
KEY CREDENTIALS
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or busy hospitality environment is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
A positive, team player attitude and the ability to work under pressure is vital.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods in a fast paced environment a must.
Flexibility and team spirit is requested when it comes to helping with sickness or holiday cover, or to meet the seasonal demands of the business.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
