Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to support children's development through engaging activities, nurturing care, and effective management of daily routines. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs related to the role.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with early years curriculum standards
- Supervise and support children during play, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Manage daily routines including attendance, behaviour management, and communication with parents or guardians
- Lead and organise group activities, encouraging participation and social interaction among children
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet individual needs of children
- Support the professional development of team members through mentorship and shared best practices
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and childcare policies
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare environment
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Experience in organising educational activities that stimulate development across various domains
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Previous nursery experience is highly desirable
